This page is part of the web mail archives of SRFI discuss from before July 7th, 2015. The new archives for SRFI discuss contain all messages, not just those from before July 7th, 2015.
I'll start with a less contentious issue than srfi names... The SRFI process document says: Every such revision shall be announced to srfi-announce@srfi.schemers.org, and all revisions will be retained in the permanent record of the SRFI. ... When the SRFI is accepted, it will be placed on the list of final SRFIs. This will include a link to the history of the proposal, including all earlier versions and the archive of the discussion from the comment period. I can't find the archive of SRFIs' pre-final revisions on srfi.schemers.org. Is it there somewhere? If not, I encourage the editors to fix this. This is not an abstract problem: I have read discussion archives of some SRFIs and been unable to learn anything from some of the arguments because they referred to parts of the SRFI that are not present (or perhaps are relocated or renamed) in the final revision. Also, final-srfis.html lists SRFI-11 as "Syntax for Receiving Multiple Values", but srfi-11/index.html titles it "Binding and Control Expressions". This little error reminds me that each SRFI's "permanent record" should include a list of the different titles it has had. -al
